Why Florida Bathrooms Fail
Humidity is constant. Bathrooms that aren't built with proper waterproofing behind tile — especially in showers — develop mold and structural damage within a few years. We use cement board backing, waterproofing membranes, and correctly sloped pans on every project. This isn't optional for a Florida bathroom.

Moisture Behind the Tile
The most common bathroom failure in Florida. Water infiltrates through grout or unsealed edges, saturates the backer board, and feeds mold inside the wall. By the time it's visible, the damage is structural. Proper waterproofing prevents it entirely.
Wrong Slope on Shower Pans
A shower pan that doesn't slope toward the drain holds standing water, accelerates grout degradation, and creates the same mold problem. Correct pitch is required by code — and it has to be right before the tile goes down.
No Permits on Plumbing Work
Moving a drain, changing valve locations, or adding a wet wall requires a permit in Sarasota County. Unpermitted plumbing work shows up as a deficiency on home inspections and can stall a sale. We pull every permit and pass every inspection.

Waterproofing, Tile & Build
Cement board, waterproofing membrane, shower pan, tile, grout, vanity, and all fixtures installed in sequence with licensed oversight.

Inspection & Walkthrough
County inspection scheduled and passed. Final walkthrough with you before the job is closed.
